How to Make Tincture / Extract of Turmeric (Curcuma longa)

Can be made at home from fresh or dried turmeric roots. One of active botanical compounds of turmeric are curcuminoids known for their anti-inflammatory properties.


In turmeric they are present together with huge number of other botanical chemical compounds, many of which is impossible to extract in their natural form bcs they may change and they healing properties may wannish.


A few drops of extract can be added to a sauce, desert, smoothie, porridge, coffee or tea.


Turmeric can be grown from fresh roots in your garden but it likes warm environment, so can be grown in a green house.
